  • Prepare, review, and analyze monthly financial statements and management reporting packages.
  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial reporting.
  • Analyze financial results, identify trends and variances, and communicate key findings to leadership.
  • Prepare detailed account reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and adjusting entries.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and financial planning activities.
  • Work closely with Operations and other business leaders to understand financial performance and business drivers.
  • Provide financial analysis and reporting related to manufacturing operations, inventory, costs, margins, and profitability.
  • Assist with the development and improvement of accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting procedures.
  • Help identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and financial visibility.
  • Support audits and provide requested financial schedules and documentation.
  • Assist the Controller with special projects, process improvements, and strategic financial initiatives.
  • Serve as a key resource for accounting staff and help ensure accounting policies and procedures are consistently followed.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of recent experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong hands-on experience with month-end close and financial reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare and analyze financial statements and management reporting.
  • Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries.
  • Experience analyzing financial performance, variances, costs, and operational results.
  • Strong Excel skills and experience working with ERP/accounting systems.
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • CPA, CMA, or advanced degree is a plus but not required.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for an engaged, hands-on accounting professional who is comfortable getting into the details while also understanding the bigger business picture. The successful candidate will be a strong communicator who can work effectively with accounting, operations, and executive leadership.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Controller who wants to take on meaningful responsibility, work closely with leadership, and make an impact in a fast-paced manufacturing organization with opportunities for continued professional growth.
