Our client is an innovative aerospace company focused on advancing space technology and enabling a more connected planet. The organization develops launch vehicle systems and spacecraft propulsion technologies designed to support next-generation satellite , testing, and production for both test and flight , Thermal, and Electrical teams to define harness requirements-Select connectors, materials, and components for aerospace environments-Design harness routing, mechanical layout, and EMI mitigation strategies-Create and maintain system-level wiring diagrams and electrical schematics-Draft and review manufacturing and assembly drawings-Support first article assembly, production, and flight harness development-Perform electrical testing including pin-to-pin isolation, grounding, and continuity checks-Troubleshoot development and production issues and implement corrective actions-Support system integration in a hands-on design, production, and testing environmentCompensationSalary range : $131,750 - $162,350
Required Qualifications-Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field-5+ years of professional experience in harness design-3+ years of experience with mechanical design / CAD tools and PLM software-Ability to interpret and create complex electrical wiring diagrams-Strong understanding of wire harness design and manufacturing processes-Experience with component material selection for aerospace applications-Hands-on experience testing and troubleshooting complex wiring systems-Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions-Experience documenting and maintaining : -Testing procedures-Test and analysis results-FMEAs-Requirement documentation-Work instructions-Familiarity with relevant industry standards such as : -IPC / WHMA-A-620-NASA-STD-8739.4 and 8739.6-NASA-STD-6016-SAE AS22759-J-STD-001-Ability to design hardware with weight, cost, and manufacturability considerations-Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills-Excellent written and verbal communication-Ability to collaborate across engineering teams and manage hardware interfaces-Self-motivated with the ability to execute open-ended engineering problemsPreferred Qualifications-Experience working on aerospace or spaceflight systems-Knowledge of redundancy strategies for flight-critical systems-Experience designing for high-vibration and vacuum environments-Experience with Siemens NX and Teamcenter-Experience with RapidHarness
