Director of Operations, Electronics - Phoenix
Linde Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Director of Operations to direct, plan, and lead operations in production and maintenance at our site in Phoenix, AZ. As the site Director, you will be responsible for communicating with the customer on overall site operations, in addition to the overall safety, financial, reliability, and compliance performance of a large installation of multiple plants, backup systems, and supply systems.
What you will enjoy doing:
- Manage communications with the customer on operational concerns for the overall site
- Create and manage complex plans to achieve business objectives
- Ensure compliance with safety policies, environmental regulations, and quality requirements for all plants in your site
- Develop and support Lean Six Sigma and cost reduction projects
- Analyze financial performance, manage fixed and variable costs for the plant, and advise electronics management on budget needs for both CAPEX and OPEX spending
- Track, report, and drive to completion action items from various programs and investigations
- Track financial performance of the site versus plan for both normal operations and the various projects in execution
- Mentor individual plant managers growing their abilities
- Set goals and measure performance for your plant teams
- Measure site performance against KPI's and develop plans to improve performance at all levels of your team
What makes you great:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with an Engineering Degree being a plus
- At least ten (10) years of experience in bulk and on-site operations
- At least five (5) years of plant management experience
- Strong leadership, team-building, and decision-making skills are a must
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong planning and execution abilities are needed
- The candidate should be a self-starter with the ability to drive project execution and strategic initiatives
- Experience in the semi-conductor industry is required
This role requires some travel, being on call, and carrying a cell phone.
