Overview

Position Summary :

Responsible for the assembly of any job that requires electronics prior to shipping. To work closely with the department lead to ensure that all of our customers' needs are being met. And, to make sure that all components and hardware are properly staged for assembly process.

Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Proves to be proficient in all areas listed for Electronic Assembler I and II and the areas listed below.
• Completes assignments by an average of 95% of time standards and rework less than 5% of all assemblies.
• Ability to train peers using proper procedures : control builds; solder or wire wrap techniques.
• Knowledge of ESD Operating Procedures : handling, cleaning, storage
• Use and understanding of Work instructions (Electronic or written)
• Fabrication of basic wire harness and Electro-mechanical assemblies meeting a min of 80% of Time Standards and with less than 30% rework of all assemblies.
• Mechanical Assembly of Basic Chassis Builds : MRC Cabinets and Mini Cabinets.
• Proves to be proficient in all areas listed for Electronic Assembler I and II and the areas listed below.
• Completes assignments by an average of 95% of time standards and rework less than 5% of all assemblies.
• Ability to train peers using proper procedures : control builds; solder or wire wrap techniques.
• Ability to identify problems in workmanship and processes : provide suggestions to correct them, frequent user of WIS (Work Instructions Suggestions)
• Mechanical assembly of complex Chassis builds.
• First Article build under engineering direction.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills :

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic skills with Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word, and knowledge of inventory software, order processing systems, manufacturing software, and contact management systems.

Education and Experience :

High School Graduate or equivalent preferred, Minimum of three (3) years of related experience

Must have the following : Current IPC-610 Certification, Current IPC-620 Certification and Current J-STD-001

Electronic Assembly is required to follow ESD rules, wear a smock at all times on the floor, and adhere to the safety rules of floor. The employee is occasionally exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, sharp objects, fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
