The Role at a Glance:
The Installer Commercial assembles, installs, and arranges furniture in commercial settings, ensuring safety, accuracy, and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include reading blueprints, using tools, lifting heavy items, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining a clean worksite.
How You’ll Contribute:
In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for the assembly, installation, and placement of furniture in commercial environments such as offices and other business settings. This role involves reading and interpreting blueprints, furniture layouts, or customer instructions to ensure accurate and secure installations. Installers must disassemble existing furniture when necessary, prepare spaces for new installations, and troubleshoot any on-site issues that may arise during the process.
In addition to technical duties, the installer must maintain a clean and organized workspace, follow all safety protocols, and ensure that all tools, equipment, and vehicles are in good working condition. Installers are also responsible for maintaining accurate records of each installation, including time, materials used, and any complications encountered. The installer must be capable of lifting and moving heavy furniture up to 50 pounds and up to 200 pounds in a team-carry.
Customer service is a critical aspect of the job. Installers must interact professionally with clients, addressing any questions or concerns during installations, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. The position may require travel to different job locations and occasional overtime to meet project deadlines. Also, additional duties may be assigned depending on the time of year, and the needs of your team.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education/Work Experience/Certificates
Six months’ experience as an installer preferred though not necessary. Training will be available.
