About the Role
We’re hiring a Senior Business Systems Analyst to support and enhance our Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance environment (including aec360). This role partners closely with our Product Owner to translate business needs into system solutions, improve workflows, and ensure the platform effectively supports our operations. This is a hands-on role focused on requirements, process improvement, and delivery—not system administration.
What You’ll Do
- Partner with the Product Owner to define and refine system priorities
- Gather, document, and translate business requirements into functional solutions
- Analyze and improve workflows across finance and operations
- Support system enhancements, testing, and releases
- Manage and coordinate with external vendors/consultants
- Drive user adoption through training, documentation, and support
- Support data quality, reporting, and Power BI initiatives
What Success Looks Like (6–12 months)
- Well-defined, actionable requirements supporting system improvements
- Improved workflow efficiency across finance and operations
- Strong partnership with Product Owner and business stakeholders
- Reliable system enhancements delivered with minimal rework
- Increased user adoption and confidence in the system
Candidates may be based in the Bay Area or other Degenkolb office locations, including: Los Angeles, Orange, Sacramento, or San Diego, CA; or Seattle, WA.
Compensation and Benefits: The pay rate for this position ranges between $140,000 and $170,000 annually. This range is a good faith estimate provided pursuant to pay transparency laws. Actual pay rates will be based on various factors, including location, company geographic differentials, education level, and candidate qualifications.

Minimum Requirements:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance / ERP

Experience in professional services OR other project-based environments

5+ years supporting or analyzing enterprise business systems

Strong requirements gathering and business process mapping skills
- Proven experience managing vendors or implementation partners (scope, delivery, accountability)
- Ability to translate business needs into practical system solutions
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with aec360 or similar industry extensions
- Background in the Architecture or Engineering industry
- Experience with Power BI or reporting tools
- We prefer experience from middle-market companies, not mega corporations
