JL Construction Corp of Springfield, MA is looking to hire a full-time Construction Superintendent. Are you an engineering professional committed to integrity, quality work, and client satisfaction seeking a like-minded team to work with? If so, please read on! A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENTAs a Superintendent, you play an essential and lead role in all phases of the construction project from planning to completion. You will monitor the daily operations of our projects closely with an emphasis on budgeting, timeline and health/safety compliance. You enjoy the variety inherent in your job and receive satisfaction from collaboration and completing projects efficiently and within budget, all while helping JL Construction to continue to build on their reputation in the field for quality work. QUALIFICATIONS FOR A CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENTDegree in construction engineering management, civil engineering, or a related engineering field, preferred3+ years of relevant experience in the field of excavation/horizontal constructionAbility to interpret bid documents, plans and all other related project/construction documentsKnowledge of local quality, safety and health for construction job sites (MA/ CT). OSHA Certified.Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn industry-specific software programs quicklyMust possess exceptional organizational and communication skillsWillingness to travel locally to various job sites/meetings as needed WORK SCHEDULEThis full-time exempt, salaried position typically works days, Monday - Friday.The Construction Superintendent position earns a competitive salary based on experience.
