Job Summary and Qualifications

The Residency Program at TriStar Skyline Medical Center will equip you with essential tools to navigate today's hospital landscape. This paid program facilitates your transition beyond classroom learning through :

  • Advanced training in a specialty area
  • Monthly educational workshops
  • Hands-on mentorship with a facility preceptor
  • Skill evaluation through practical simulations
  • Guidance from experienced nurse leaders
  • Collaborative work on an evidence-based practice project

    The RN Resident will provide high-quality, patient-centered care consistent with department requirements and professional nursing standards. Collaborating with medical staff and the care team, you will offer individualized, compassionate care through established nursing practices such as Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage. Advocacy for patients, families, and caregivers is a key component of this role.

    In this role, you will :

  • Assess patient conditions upon admission and throughout shifts, reporting any changes in status
  • Conduct procedures or monitoring as ordered by medical providers and document care in patient medical records
  • Administer prescribed medications, monitoring for therapeutic responses and addressing any unintended reactions
  • Deliver exceptional care by promptly responding to patient requests and proactively anticipating needs
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions and treatment plans, ensuring understanding of complex medical language

    • Qualifications :

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within one year of employment
  • Other certifications may be required during employment
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse status in the state
  • No prior experience required
  • Some travel may be necessary for training
