A premier growth and venture capital firm is seeking a Software Engineer, Machine Learning Operations (MLOps), to play a vital role in advancing their proprietary data and analytics platform. The firm partners with innovative companies across diverse sectors sets itself apart by developing in-house technology that drives investment insights. You’’ collaborate closely with both data scientists and investment professionals to rethink how intelligence and operational efficiency are generated.

You’ll develop robust, scalable machine learning systems, and focus will be on architecting, deploying, and overseeing infrastructure for model training, deployment, and continuous monitoring. Their tech stack includes Python, PyTorch, Kubernetes, GCP, Terraform, and BigQuery. This is an ideal position for hands-on engineers passionate about building impactful solutions at scale, eager to work at the intersection of machine learning, data, and high-stakes business decision-making, within a collaborative, cutting-edge environment.

Must be local to the Chicago area as this is hybrid.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 7+ years of professional experience
  • Experience building production level software in Python or Java
  • Proven experience with model versioning and building reliable ML systems
  • Hands-on knowledge with Kubernetes and Terraform
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Cloud computing and distributed systems
  • Advanced degree in a quantitative field
