Are you motivated by sales, enjoy helping people, and interested in eventually owning your own business?

Farmers Insurance – Team Twin Cities is looking for ambitious professionals to join our Protege Program, a 12-month paid training and mentorship program designed to help you develop the skills and experience needed to pursue agency ownership.

As an Insurance Agent Protege, you'll gain hands-on experience in sales, customer relationships, marketing, business operations, and agency management while working alongside an experienced mentor agent.

This is more than a traditional insurance sales position. It's an opportunity to learn the business from the inside while building a foundation for your future.

What You'll Get

• Base salary + commission

• $1,000/month in agency-provided leads

• Paid Property & Casualty and Life & Health licensing

• One-on-one mentorship from an experienced Farmers agent

What You'll Do

During the Protege Program, you'll develop practical experience across multiple areas of the agency, including:

• Sell auto, home, life, business, and specialty insurance products.

• Work with agency-provided leads and referrals.

• Build and manage your own book of business.

• Develop strong relationships with customers and understand their insurance needs.

• Learn sales and marketing strategies for growing an insurance business.

• Gain exposure to agency operations, finances, and profitability.

• Work directly with your mentor to learn how a successful insurance agency operates.

• Develop the sales, leadership, and business skills needed to pursue future agency ownership.

Agency Ownership Graduation Benefits

Protege graduates who successfully complete the program requirements and open their own Farmers agency may qualify for additional benefits, including:

• $100,000 capital requirement waived

• $4,000 graduation bonus

• $5,000 new agent sign-on bonus

• $6,000 exterior branding bonus

No Insurance License? No Problem.

A current insurance license is not required to apply. We are open to candidates who are not currently licensed and provide paid Property & Casualty and Life & Health licensing as part of the program.

No insurance experience? That's okay, too. You'll receive training, mentorship, and hands-on experience to help you build the skills needed to succeed.
