Today, York is one of the most innovative aerospace companies, specializing in end-to-end customer solutions and the rapid production of spacecraft platforms. York's complete Space Segment Solution includes spacecraft production, payload integration, system integration & test, launch services, ground segment services, and mission operations, enabling customers to leverage York's existing technology solutions to get to orbit rapidly and responsively. We're looking to expand our team across the board.
We are looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer who is passionate about building and pushing the boundaries of software to operate spacecrafts. Our software is a web-based application modern (React/TypeScript, C# .NET) with a microservice infrastructure (docker, Kafka, REST) that operators use to monitor and control constellations of spacecrafts across several active missions. You'll be responsible for working with engineers, operators, and customers to understand requirements and implement features, bug fixes, and other improvements, including helping to solve complex problems like collision avoidance, operation center failover, automated cross-satellite network maintenance, and supporting multi-vehicle mission activities. You will have the unique experience of integrating your work with advanced simulation software and even seeing it in operation in York's Mission Operation Centers. Prior space-industry experience is not required.
