Integrated Logistics Support Rep - 30217

This position is to be a Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Rep for the COMNAVAIRLANT Enhanced Quality Of Life (EQOL) Team located at Norfolk Naval Base. The function of this position is to generate purchase requisitions in government systems and manage / issue material in support of the Food, Service and Laundry (FS&L) Subject Matter Experts(SMEs) tasking requirements.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Sources, purchases, plans, and schedules the movement of raw materials, packaging materials, parts, components, services, supplies, finished goods and related material through production and inventory process.
- Identifies raw material, component, and related requirements from engineering and production specifications and schedules.
- Purchases, plans, and coordinates resulting material movement throughout manufacturing and inventory sequences.
- In front-end procurement mode, analyzes data and determines factors that affect prices and determines lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules.
- Reviews proposals, negotiates prices, selects or recommends suppliers, analyzes trends, follows up orders placed, approves payment, and maintains necessary records of material movement throughout manufacturing and inventory cycle(s).
- Coordinates and follows up with production, warehouse, and engineering personnel to ensure appropriate procurement, scheduling, and movement of materials and services.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 1 year relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 7 years relevant experience.
- Must have experience sourcing, procurement, RFPs and vendor-supplier relations.
- Must have U.S. Navy supply experience using NSN (National Stock Numbers) and APLs (Allowance Parts List).
- Must have Inventory control and tool control experience.
- Must be able to qualify for and maintain a company forklift operator license.
- Must have strong computer skills with MS Office applications.
- Must be able to obtain a CAC badge and base access.
- Prior experience using ILS resource tools such as FedLog and/or OneTouch.
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience with Government Credit Card Program Administration / Auditing.
- A current or active Security clearance.
- A current or previous fork lift license/certification.
Physical Requirements:
- May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment.
- Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
