Job Summary

As a Software Engineer at Stratascale, you will participate in the design, build out, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our rapidly growing Saas products. A Software Engineer understands web protocols; how full stack applications operate and how data flows. You will also utilize critical thinking and problem solving in concert with effective industry tested tools to deliver exceptional value to our customers.

Our team performs their job duties from a home office or other remote location, but you may also be required to infrequently report to an SHI office location for internal meetings.

Role Description

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain software solutions using diverse programming languages and technologies

• Design, develop, and implement new software features or modifications to existing software based on functional requirements

• Identify and address complex technical issues efficiently through keen problem-solving and critical thinking skills

• Exhibit a strong desire to learn and explore emerging technologies, tools, and industry trends to enhance knowledge and skills

• Maintain high-quality code through rigorous code reviews, testing, and debugging processes

• Ensure stability, efficiency, security, and quality of all shipped code by supporting continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes

• Support runtime platform maintenance, integration of new features, and release fixes

• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation to ensure knowledge sharing and support continuous development efforts

• Proficiency in using Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) frameworks for database interaction, including tasks such as mapping objects to database tables, managing database schemas, and performing CRUD operations efficiently - Intermediate

• Proficiency in using Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodologies, including tasks such as writing automated test cases before code implementation, ensuring code quality, and facilitating continuous integration and deployment - Intermediate

Other Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or relevant work experience required

• Minimum 3 years of experience in software development with exposure to Web/Saas environments

• Working knowledge of Go (GoLang)

• Experience with GitHub Actions and an understanding of GitOps workflows

• Strong experience in designing and implementing RESTful APIs. Experience with SOAP is a plus

• Familiarity with relevant libraries for parsing and processing XML, JSON, and YAML

• Familiarity with PostgreSQL and the relational model, including writing SQL with joins

• Knowledge of schema management using EntGo and Atlas

• WorkingknowledgeofLinux,TCP/IP, andDNS

• Ability to travel 10%

• AWS or Azure cloud certifications (optional, but very beneficial)

The estimated annual pay range for this position is $85,000 - $190,000 which includes a base salary and bonus. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
