This is an OR Technologist III (Tier 3) role based in Kansas City, MO at a 585+ bed hospital designated as a Level I Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center, with specialty programs including a Chest Pain Center, Breast Care Center, and Cardiovascular Rehabilitation.
The role. The Surgical Technologist III functions as a senior-level scrub tech, serving as a go-to expert and mentor for complex, high-acuity cases across a broad range of surgical specialties. In the first scrub role, this technologist manages all instruments, supplies, and equipment throughout the procedure, anticipates surgeon needs, and maintains vigilant oversight of the sterile field. In the second scrub role, responsibilities include sponging, suctioning, cutting suture, holding retractors, and operating the endoscopic camera in direct support of the surgeon and surgical assistant. The technologist must be prepared to lead independently in robotic surgery, total joints, neuro/spine, burn surgery, and vascular surgery — including endovascular wire procedures in a vascular hybrid room. Patients served range from adolescents (12–17) through adult and geriatric populations.
What we're looking for.
Schedule. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position on a mixed schedule with rotating weekends and an on-call requirement.
Compensation. $27.00 - $37.00/hr
