Overview :
Receives and processes incoming and outgoing mail and / or parcels from various sources. Sorts and distributes items accordingly, following established procedures.
Location : This position is based out of our Amherst, NY (Commerce Drive) location.
Hours : This position works 12 : 00PM to 8 : 30PM Monday - Friday.
Compensation : This position starts at an hourly rate of 19 / hour but is eligible for a 10% shift differential for shifts worked due to the evening hours.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Receive and process incoming and outgoing mail and / or parcels in a timely basis.
- Sort and distribute mail and parcels in an accurate manner.
- Operate a mail machine to accurately apply postage to outgoing letters and parcels.
- Use in-house scanning technology to track flow of bar-coded items.
- Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
- Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
- Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
- Complete other related duties as assigned.

M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.76 Hourly (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
