Are you an experienced Plater looking for a reliable, long-term opportunity with a stable schedule and a great team environment? A premier industrial manufacturing company in Largo is currently looking to add a skilled Plating Technician to their team.
Position Overview:
In this role, you will play a critical part in the metal finishing process by preparing, processing, and inspecting workpieces to ensure high-quality surface coatings. You will work in a supportive, fast-paced environment with consistent hours and a predictable daily routine.
Key Responsibilities:
Process metal workpieces through timed cleaning, pickling, rinsing, and plating tank sequences.
Set and monitor tank temperatures and processing parameters to ensure quality standards.
Load and unload items onto hooks, racks, or baskets with care.
Perform visual inspections of finished parts to catch plating defects, thin coverage, or rough spots.
Operate drying equipment, including ovens and dryers, to complete the finishing process.
Assist with routine tank maintenance, including draining, cleaning, refilling, and removing excess plating buildup from racks.
Report equipment wear, damage, or process issues to management promptly.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Previous experience in electroplating, chemical processing, or industrial surface finishing required.
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Physical capability to stand for the duration of the shift and lift up to 50 lbs consistently.
Candidates must be willing to complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $18.00 - $20.00
