Job description

Job Title

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements for enhancements, integrations, or replacements of legacy applications.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of legacy systems (e.g., mainframe, on-premises, or outdated applications) to understand existing functionalities, data structures, dependencies, and business workflows.
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and meetings with SMEs, users, and technical teams to identify business needs and capture current system behaviors.
  • Create detailed business requirement documents (BRDs), user stories, use cases, and process flows that accurately reflect the legacy system environment and business expectations.
  • Work closely with IT architects and developers to ensure legacy system constraints and capabilities are fully understood and considered in solution design.
  • Lead efforts to map and reconcile current-state business processes with future-state workflows during system modernization or migration initiatives.
  • Identify data migration, integration, and decommissioning requirements for legacy systems in coordination with data and infrastructure teams.
  • Support testing teams by providing clear documentation, participating in test planning, and validating that legacy system requirements are met.
  • Track and manage requirement changes, ensuring alignment with project scope and business goals.
  • Serve as a liaison between business and technical teams, ensuring all stakeholders have a shared understanding of legacy system limitations and future needs.
