  • Experience leading complex projects with self-performed work and multiple trade partners.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and support a developing project team.
  • Ability to work in the Lafayette/Boulder area and travel throughout Colorado as required.

  • Construction Management, Engineering or related degree.
  • PMP, PE, DBIA, CCM or similar designation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and execution of a complex water/wastewater construction project in the Lafayette/Boulder area from mobilization through final completion.
  • Establish clear project objectives, execution plans, communication protocols and accountability across the project team.
  • Manage project budgets, cost reports, forecasts, cash flow, commitments and overall financial performance.
  • Develop, maintain and communicate detailed project schedules in coordination with field leadership, subcontractors, suppliers and the client.
  • Oversee procurement of subcontractors, process equipment, piping systems, electrical components and long-lead materials.
  • Review and manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, claims, contracts, meeting minutes and project documentation.
  • Coordinate closely with superintendents and field teams to ensure construction activities are properly planned, sequenced and resourced.
  • Build productive relationships with owners, engineers, inspectors, subcontractors, suppliers and other project stakeholders.
  • Ensure project work is completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with contract documents, specifications, quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead project meetings and provide clear reporting on safety, schedule, cost, procurement, quality, risks and upcoming milestones.
  • Identify emerging project risks and implement practical mitigation strategies before they affect cost, schedule or operations.
  • Negotiate subcontractor changes, owner change orders and other commercial matters while protecting the company's contractual position.
  • Support commissioning, startup, operator training, punch-list completion and final project turnover.
  • Mentor and develop junior project team members while helping establish strong processes and accountability within the Colorado operation.
  • Collaborate with company leadership and teams in California and across the national federal project group to share resources, technical knowledge and best practices.
