Staff Business Analyst Opportunity

Hungry, Humble, Honest, with Heart.

The Opportunity

Are you a results-driven professional with a strong background in Order to Cash processes and a passion for optimizing business solutions in a fast-paced, high-growth environment? If so, you will thrive on our dynamic team at Nutanix, where you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact by driving change initiatives and implementing scalable SaaS solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams and mentoring others to achieve excellence.

About the Team

The Staff Business Analyst will be part of the IT Business Technologies team at Nutanix, located in San Jose. This dynamic team is committed to building a world-class organization that delivers innovative solutions within the rapidly evolving SaaS environment. The culture within the team emphasizes collaboration, continuous improvement, and the agility necessary to adapt to growth challenges while supporting various business units such as finance, accounting, and FP&A. The mission of the team is to facilitate seamless processes and system integrations that drive efficiency and drive business performance across the organization.

You will report to the Director of Engineering, who exemplifies a collaborative and empowering leadership style that encourages team members to take initiative and drive innovation. The team operates in a hybrid work model, requiring the hired candidate to be in the office a set number of days while allowing for flexibility to work remotely for the remainder of the week.

This role does not require any travel, allowing the Staff Business Analyst to focus on driving internal process improvements and ensuring effective communication with stakeholders across various teams without the need for off-site commitments.

Your Role

  • Document and analyze business requirements to establish metrics for success.
  • Optimize existing business processes to enhance productivity across various teams.
  • Design and implement scalable business processes that meet organizational needs.
  • Communicate effectively with technical teams to ensure requirements are met and solutions are scalable.
  • Act as a consultant to guide stakeholders in selecting appropriate solutions for long-term success.
  • Research industry best practices and establish guidelines for process improvement.
  • Mentor and support junior business analysts by providing feedback and guidance on project execution.
  • Drive process changes and ensure adoption through effective change management strategies.

What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of work experience with at least 4 years in NetSuite ERP experience.
  • Strong understanding of core financial processes (GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Revenue Recognition, Budgeting).
  • Experience with ERP system implementations and integration platforms (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Salesforce).
  • Proficient in designing scalable business processes and solutions with proper exception handling.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Work Arrangement

In locations where our workplace policy applies (i.e. San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo), employees are expected to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week to foster collaboration, team alignment, and access to in-office resources. Workplace type may vary based on location and team requirements. Please speak with your recruiter for details. Additional team-specific guidance and norms will be provided by your manager.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $131,200 and USD $262,800 per year.

However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
