About Global Payment The Global Payment team of ByteDance provides payment and financial services solutions - including payment acquisitions, disbursements, transaction monitoring, payment method management, foreign exchange conversion, accounting, reconciliations to ensure that our users have a smooth and secure payment experience on ByteDance platforms including TikTok, CapCut and other apps.

About the Team The Payment Partnership team in Global Payment ensures a secure and efficient payment solution, helping businesses to manage our payment partnership network and effectively assisting business and product expansion. In this role, you will be part of the team which explores and formalizes North America and Global payment partnerships. As a project intern, you will have the opportunity to engage in impactful short-term projects that provide you with a glimpse of professional real-world experience. You will gain practical skills through on-the-job learning in a fast-paced work environment and develop a deeper understanding of your career interests. Responsibilities:

• Business Development Assistance: Support the end-to-end lifecycle of payment and ecosystem partner agreements, including drafting, tracking, organizing, and filing contracts; maintain contract databases and renewal schedules; coordinate signature workflows and follow up on outstanding items with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ecosystem Coordination: Assist with follow-ups across internal business lines and external payment channel partners; help prepare meeting materials, action item tracking, and status updates.
• Data Analysis & Reporting: Collect, clean, and analyze payment and partnership data; build and maintain dashboards and regular reports to track KPIs, partner performance, and pipeline progress; surface insights to support team decision-making.
• Market Research: Conduct in-depth research on the US payment landscape, including competitive analysis, regulatory environment, and PSP/acquirer benchmarking.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification(s): Currently enrolled in a MBA program; detail-oriented and highly organized, comfortable managing multiple workflows simultaneously; proficient in data analytics; experience with data visualization tools is a plus; proactive, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment; available to work at least 4 days per week for a minimum of 6 months, able to come on-site to our San Jose campus at least 23 days per week.

Preferred Qualification(s): Prior experience in contract management, legal operations, vendor coordination, partnership operations, or business administration; experience working with large datasets or building recurring business reports.

For Pay Transparency Compensation Description (Hourly) - Campus Intern The hourly rate range for this position in the selected city is $40- $40. Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Interns have day one access to health insurance, life insurance, wellbeing benefits and more. Interns also receive 10 paid holidays per year and paid sick time (56 hours if hired in first half of year, 40 if hired in second half of year). Interns who are not working 100% remote may also be eligible for housing allowance. The Company reserves the right to modify or change these benefits programs at any time, with or without notice.
