What We're Looking For: The Project Manager I is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering technical projects associated with mobile LiDAR, pavement data collection, and GIS-based asset data solutions for clients nationwide. This role supports projects executed in a fully remote or hybrid environment, which makes clear, proactive, and effective communication essential for success. With guidance from National Practice Leads, the Project Manager I oversees projects from initiation through final delivery, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client expectations are met. While the role has no direct supervisory responsibilities, it requires close coordination with multidisciplinary internal teams and external stakeholders across multiple regions. What You'll Do: * Manage projects from inception through delivery and closeout, including scope definition, budgeting, scheduling, invoicing, and performance tracking. * Coordinate and collaborate with geographically distributed project staff, including field crews, data processing teams, GIS specialists, and quality control personnel. * Serve as the primary client point of contact, leading regular virtual project status meetings and maintaining strong working relationships. * Prepare, maintain, and present clear project status dashboards and reports that communicate progress, risks, schedule, and financial performance. * Actively manage scope, risks, issues, and changes to minimize impacts to cost, schedule, and data quality. * Ensure all project deliverables comply with established quality assurance and quality control standards for LiDAR, GIS, and pavement-related data. * Track and manage project financial performance, including cost control, forecasting, and invoicing in coordination with finance and practice leadership. * Support consistent project delivery across multiple regions and time zones, adapting communication approach and workflows to meet client and team needs. * Contribute to the development and refinement of best practices, tools, and workflows for project delivery within the National LiDAR and Pavement Practice. What You Need to Succeed: * Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; preferred fields include management, engineering, mathematics, GIS, or a closely related discipline. * Demonstrated experience managing and delivering technical projects related to: + Mobile LiDAR data collection + Pavement data collection + GIS-based data processing and feature extraction + Data quality control, validation, and reporting * Proven experience managing projects for clients in multiple geographic regions. * Strong working knowledge of GIS, photogrammetry, and LiDAR technologies, workflows, and deliverables. * Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to lead meetings and clearly convey technical information to diverse audiences. * Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects. * This position is fully remote or hybrid, depending on location and organizational needs. * The role requires frequent virtual collaboration and communication with internal teams and clients nationwide. * Occasional travel may be required for internal coordination meetings, client meetings, or key project milestones. Preferred Qualifications * Experience with pavement evaluation, pavement management systems, or transportation asset management. * Experience supporting transportation, infrastructure, or public-sector clients. * Familiarity with GIS platforms, data visualization tools, and project or program dashboards. Licenses and Certifications * Professional licensure is not required. * GIS Professional (GISP) and/or Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure is preferred. Compensation: The approximate compensation range for this position is $45-$55/hour. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.
