Job description

Surgery Center Administrator
Southeast Houston, Texas

Lead with Impact. Elevate Surgical Care. Drive Operational Excellence.

Our client, a premier ambulatory surgery center in Southeast Houston, is seeking a dynamic Surgery Center Administrator to lead operations at a modern, high-performing facility equipped with state-of-the-art technology across multiple specialty areas.

This is an opportunity to step into a visible leadership role where you’ll partner closely with physicians, influence strategic direction, and shape both the clinical and operational success of the center.

What You’ll Do

As the Administrator, you will serve as the operational and cultural leader of the facility—owning performance, driving efficiency, and fostering a high-quality patient experience.

  • Lead all aspects of day-to-day operations, spanning clinical support, administration, and business functions
  • Act as a trusted liaison between the Governing Board, Medical Staff, and corporate leadership
  • Ensure full compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and patient safety standards
  • Own financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and operational risk management
  • Build, develop, and lead a high-performing team through effective staffing and performance management
  • Strengthen physician partnerships and oversee credentialing and medical staff coordination
  • Negotiate and manage vendor and physician contracts
  • Champion quality initiatives, infection control, and patient satisfaction efforts
  • Identify and execute on opportunities for service line growth and operational improvement

What You Bring

  • 2–5+ years of leadership experience within an ambulatory surgery center or surgical services environment
  • Proven operational leadership with a strong grasp of financial and performance management
  • Experience as an ASC Administrator or Director of Surgical Services (hospital setting with ASC exposure)
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • A collaborative, physician-friendly leadership style with the ability to build trust and alignment
  • Strong communication and influencing skills across diverse stakeholders
  • A proactive, growth-oriented mindset with a passion for excellence

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

This role offers more than day-to-day management—it’s a chance to lead, influence, and make a measurable impact.

You’ll work side-by-side with physicians and leadership to drive clinical quality, enhance operational performance, and deliver an exceptional patient experience—all within a supportive, team-oriented environment.

If you’re a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-accountability setting, this is a compelling next step.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual Bonus Target: 17% of base salary
  • Comprehensive benefits package
  • Relocation assistance available
