The ideal candidate is analytical, highly organized, and experienced in managing complex insurance programs within healthcare or similarly regulated industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage BayMark’s workers’ compensation, general liability, professional liability, and other commercial insurance programs.

  • Coordinate with internal departments to gather information required by insurance brokers and carriers for ongoing program administration, claims handling, renewals, and acquisitions.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for insurance brokers, carriers, and internal stakeholders regarding insurance matters.

  • Review lease agreements and contractual documents to ensure compliance with insurance coverage requirements.

  • Oversee claim reporting, claim coordination, and payment processing across insurance programs.

  • Provide support for claims investigations, litigation support, and risk mitigation efforts.

  • Lead the preparation and coordination of insurance renewals and policy updates.

  • Manage the Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) program and motor vehicle policies in coordination with the HR department.

  • Monitor and analyze loss trends, claim frequency, and claim severity, advising executive leadership on potential risks and liabilities.

  • Present short- and long-term risk management priorities, goals, and strategic initiatives to executive leadership.

  • Assist the executive team with special projects, risk initiatives, and compliance-related efforts as needed.

  • Maintain and prepare reports, correspondence, records, and documentation related to insurance programs and risk management activities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Legal Studies, Insurance Analytics, Risk Management, Commerce, or a related field.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing insurance and risk management programs within a multi-site healthcare organization.

  • Demonstrated experience training teams on risk mitigation, insurance coverage requirements, and strategic risk initiatives.

  • Proficiency using Risk Management Information Systems (RMIS) or similar claims tracking and risk management systems.

  • Strong understanding of commercial insurance policies, policy administration, and claims management.

  • Experience working directly with insurance brokers, carriers, adjusters, and legal teams.

  • Knowledge of legal reporting requirements, regulatory rulings, and case law related to claims and insurance.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Visio) and online research tools.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage confidential information with discretion and integrity.

  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills.

  • Ability to work independently with limited direction while managing multiple priorities.

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.

Additional Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a legal and executive leadership environment.

  • Exceptional project management, organizational, and time management skills.

  • Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.

  • Successful completion of reference checks, criminal background check, and drug screening.
