Job description

Medical Career Pathways Supervisor

The Medical Career Pathways Supervisor provides centralized oversight of medical CTE instruction, operational coordination, compliance management, industry-based certification implementation, and student outcome tracking across participating campuses. This position supports medical CTE teachers, coordinates certification exams and vendor resources, aligns pathway implementation with program and financial expectations, and helps campuses execute consistent workflows that improve student certification outcomes.

Qualifications

Education/Certification:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required; master's degree preferred.
  • Valid educator certification, CTE certification, health science certification, or relevant medical/health science industry credential preferred.
  • Training or demonstrated knowledge related to industry-based certification requirements, secure testing procedures, and CTE program compliance is preferred.

Experience:

  • Three or more years of experience teaching, coordinating, or supporting CTE, health science, medical career pathways, or related instructional programs preferred.
  • Experience coordinating certification exams, student eligibility documentation, retesting processes, and evidence-file maintenance preferred.
  • Experience supporting teachers across multiple campuses, monitoring instructional quality, and using student data to improve program outcomes is preferred.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

Knowledge:

  • Medical CTE pathway requirements, industry-based certification expectations, and related compliance documentation.
  • Instructional best practices for health science and medical career coursework, including alignment of curriculum, resources, and certification outcomes.
  • Secure testing protocols, vendor processes, resource ordering, and student data tracking practices.

Skills:

  • Coordinate multi-campus workflows, timelines, and competing priorities with accuracy and follow-through.
  • Coach and support teachers through clear communication, practical feedback, and timely problem-solving.
  • Analyze student progress, certification status, exam results, and documentation to identify needs and improve outcomes.
  • Maintain organized records, evidence files, purchasing documentation, and vendor communication.

Abilities:

  • Lead through influence and build productive relationships with campus leaders, teachers, vendors, and central office staff.
  • Maintain confidentiality, uphold testing integrity, and comply with all applicable requirements.
  • Travel to participating campuses as needed and adapt support to campus-specific needs while maintaining program consistency.
  • Connect program operations, vendor cost exposure, instructional implementation, and student outcomes into one accountable workflow.

Responsibilities and Duties

Responsibilities:

  • Provide dedicated oversight for medical career pathways across participating campuses, including instructional support, operational coordination, compliance management, and outcome tracking.
  • Serve as the central owner for IBC implementation, including exam ordering, eligibility verification, secure testing coordination, retakes, documentation, and reporting.
  • Monitor instructional quality and support medical CTE teachers through coaching, resource alignment, professional development coordination, and campus follow-up.
  • Track student progress, certification status, evidence files, required resources, and pathway-level outcomes to support timely intervention and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate e-textbooks, consumable supplies, vendor communication, professional development needs, and other resources required for successful pathway implementation.
  • Support recruitment, screening, and onboarding of qualified medical CTE teachers in collaboration with campus and district leadership.
  • Partner with campus and central office leaders to align pathway implementation with program goals, financial model expectations, compliance requirements, and student certification outcomes.

Duties:

  • Develop and maintain annual calendars, checklists, and communication routines for IBC exam ordering, test administration, retesting, and documentation deadlines.
  • Review student eligibility data, certification rosters, and progress reports to ensure campuses have accurate and timely information.
  • Coordinate with vendors regarding exam purchases, e-textbooks, consumables, professional development, support needs, and cost exposure.
  • Conduct campus visits, instructional walkthroughs, teacher check-ins, and follow-up meetings to support consistent execution.
  • Maintain organized records related to certification testing, student evidence, resource allocation, vendor documentation, and program compliance.
  • Prepare updates for leadership regarding pathway implementation, certification progress, teacher support needs, and operational risks.
  • All other related duties as assigned.

Equipment Used

All equipment required to perform job duties and tasks previously described, including computer, printer, telephone, standard office equipment, learning management and student information systems, testing/vendor platforms, and other instructional or program-related technology.
