NSC- IT Program Manager
Full Time - IT Program Manager - Lewisville, TX
The IT Program Manager is responsible for building, maintaining, and communicating the portfolio of IT and IT involved business projects throughout the year. In addition to managing the contract and IT project managers, they are responsible for ensuring that all projects are clearly communicated and delivered within their expected scope, schedule, and budget.
Working closely with business stakeholders, this position will provide project coordination expertise and strategic alignment of IT resources in support of BayMark’s technical and operations projects. They will interact directly with staff and leaders both locally and remotely in addition to third party technicians and vendors. They must possess the project and portfolio management experience to work on multiple levels of project solutions and mentor employed and contract project managers. The IT program manager will report directly to the BayMark CIO, but work independently under minimal supervision, and at times, work during non-business hours as required in a clinical environment. Some travel to monitor and support initiatives will be required. This position is preferred to be on site in BayMark’s Lewisville, TX office, but remote work will be considered for the right candidate.
Essential Job Functions
- Implement and follow PMI best practices and guidelines
- Build and maintain a prioritized portfolio of technology projects
- Build and maintain a demand management system for prioritization of new project requests
- Define documentation standards for projects and related activities
- Oversee project quality for consistent delivery of IT services
- Maintain project timeframes, budgeting estimates and status reports
- Manage resources for projects, such as computer equipment and employees
- Coordinate project team members and developing schedules and individual responsibilities
- Use project management tools to track project performance and schedule adherence
- Conduct risk assessments for projects
- Organize meetings to discuss project goals and progress
- Document and implement policies and procedures for project management
- Provide escalation support to all project related activities and engage the stakeholders when necessary
- Serve as liaison between business and technical teams on projects
- Support and coordinate project go-lives, training and other required processes to ensure success
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP), LEAN or 6-sigma certification or equivalent education (masters level)
- 3 – 5 years experience in Project Management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.)
- Demonstrated positive track record of project management outcomes
- Demonstrated experience driving complex issues to closure with internal and external stakeholders
- Executive level written and verbal communication skills to drive problems to successful conclusion
- Ability to handle stressful situations and interact with others
- Experience working with project management tools
- Satisfactory references from employers and/or professional peers
- Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screen
