Our client in the Amarillo, TX location is currently hiring for a Project/Program Manager III – Construction. This role leads the coordination and delivery of complex construction projects and programs, including new builds, renovations, and expansions of fulfillment centers across the United States. The position requires strong on‑site involvement and close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders throughout the full project lifecycle.
Pay - Competitive compensation package (Depending on years of experience, tenure, software proficiency, and relevant project leadership experience)
Location - Amarillo, TX Primarily site‑based with travel to active project locations; approximately 75% on‑site
Schedule - Standard Monday – Friday; Additional hours may be required based on project demands
Responsibilities
• Coordinate and manage the full lifecycle of construction projects and programs, including new builds, renovations, and expansions of fulfillment centers
• Oversee all aspects of assigned projects from design phase through implementation and operational handoff
• Establish project schedules, milestones, and deadlines to ensure timely delivery
• Assign responsibilities to internal teams and external partners, ensuring accountability and clear ownership
• Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and drive timely resolution
• Prepare and present regular status reports for leadership, including progress, risks, budget considerations, and key decisions
• Lead and direct the work of project team members, contractors, consultants, and vendors
• Manage and participate in the negotiation of construction, procurement, and labor contracts
• Coordinate and support design review activities to ensure requirements and standards are met
• Collaborate with operations, facilities, engineering, finance, and external partners
• Manage multiple concurrent projects within a broader program
• Utilize project management and scheduling tools such as Primavera or Microsoft Project
• Review drawings and design documents using AutoCAD and BIM tools
• Support site development activities and report site progress to construction leadership
• Maintain close on‑site oversight to ensure alignment with scope, schedule, and quality expectations
Qualification Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a comparable field
• 7+ years of experience in construction, engineering, or a related discipline
• 7+ years of project management experience spanning design through implementation and operation
• Experience negotiating construction, procurement, and labor contracts
• Experience in at least two construction disciplines such as General Contracting, Owner’s Representation, Commercial Development, or Engineering & Design
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects or programs
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, BIM tools, and scheduling software such as Primavera or Microsoft Project
• Strong communication skills with technical teams, leadership, and field personnel
• Experience planning, reviewing designs, and managing construction of new and existing facilities
• Proven ability to lead teams and apply sound judgment to complex project challenges
Disqualifiers
• Less than 7 years of relevant construction or project management experience
• No experience managing projects from design through construction and operational handoff
• No experience coordinating with contractors, designers, and field teams
• No exposure to large‑scale commercial, industrial, or fulfillment‑center construction projects

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr.
