Bend, OR

PrideStaff, a firm specializing in recruiting for Central Oregon businesses, is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist. This is full time, M-F position with benefits.

Accounts Payable Specialist Job Responsibilities may include:

  • Perform Accounts payable tasks including but not limited to, invoice and payment processing, cleared check process and maintaining vendor files.
  • Maintain interface with personnel to obtain and provide information to verify or support financial records and ensure compliance with policies and procedures; prepare correspondence and answer inquiries regarding accounting information as required..
  • Prepare correspondence and answer inquiries regarding accounting information as required.
  • Compile financial information and prepare financial reports and statements. reflecting various data for utilization by management.
  • Prepare various financial and accounting forms and logs.
  • Assist in additional projects as directed.
  • Delivers customer service in a manner that promotes goodwill, is timely, efficient and accurate.
  • Enter data, maintain records and launch reports and financial statements, perform account reconciliations
  • Research billing issues
  • Pull invoices copies and instruct on invoice collections
  • Record day to day financial transactions and complete posting process
  • Provide team and departmental support
  • Other Duties as assigned

Job Requirements for Accounts Payable Specialist: The ideal candidate maintains the following skills and characteristics:

  • Minimum two years accounting experience with emphasis on accounts payable and general ledger functions.
  • Good understanding of accounting terminology and functions including preparing
  • Strong work ethic with a high level of integrity both in and out of work environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail, meet daily deadlines, and multi-task in fast paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills both written and oral as well as problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to take direction, meet time-lines and work on a multitude of projects at one time.
  • Minimum typing speed of 45 WPM.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2 Professional References.

Supervision: This position has supervision. The employee will meet as needed with their supervisor to go over pertinent goals and assignments. The employee does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Basic Working Conditions: The employee must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time. Although this position will be in an office environment, at times this position may be required to lift up to 20 lbs. The employee will be required to have the ability to stoop, kneel and handle objects for filing.

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): Per Hour
