The EPIC Programmer/Analyst - (Healthy Planet) provides programming and systems analysis support for a broad array of strategic/tactical projects as assigned.

·The position supports all areas of the project life cycle including: project definition, project estimation, systems design, computer programming, systems implementation, maintenance, upgrades, and documentation. Particular emphasis is placed on the implementation of integrated hospital/corporate computer systems.

·The individual will not have supervisory responsibility.

· The person receives assignments and works under close supervision of his/her immediate manager or senior-level team member.

·The EPIC Programmer/Analyst works as a team member in automation projects. Dimensions of project assignments range from simple stand-alone applications to large projects.

·The EPIC Programmer/Analyst is responsible for the processing and implementation of approved Information Technology (IT) Service Requests, both strategic and tactical, in a satisfactory and professional manner within a reasonable time period.

·The individual will respond to the software malfunctions of assigned systems, providing support and assistance to Operations and users to correct and avoid recurrence of production application problems.

·The position interacts with a wide variety of hospital/corporate personnel. The primary internal interaction is with operational end users of information systems and all other individuals within IT. External involvement with vendor personnel is sometimes required and may be under the guidance of project leadership or more senior information systems personnel.

·The position provides back-up assistance to other team members and shares knowledge/education with fellow team members.

· This position allows for the continued development of the employee’s basic information system and business knowledge and skills.

Education : Associate Degree w/6+ years job experience & 3 years ERP experience & Epic Certification required.

Bachelor Degree w/4+ years job experience & 2 years ERP experience & Epic Certification required.

IT area of study or related area required. Related areas of study include Nursing, Medical Technology, Radiology, Mathematics, Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Laboratory, Pharmacy, or Medicine.

Licensure: Not Applicable

Certification: Project Management Certification is preferred

Experience: Please see the experience requirements located in the education section.Requires knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of applications, and good analytical and documentation skills
