Rightstone is looking for a Senior Purchasing Agent in Pasadena, TX . The pay rate is $40 / hr.for a 12-month contract, with a strong potential for renewal and the opportunity for temp-to-hire based on performance. In this role, you will act as a dedicated Buyer within a fast-paced industrial setting. You willbe responsible forthe full lifecycle of purchase orders—from creation and maintenance in SAP / Oracle to aggressive expediting—managing a robust portfolio of industrial commodities such as castings, screws, and valves. This is a high-volume desk where you will manage upwards of 1,000 active POs at any given time, ensuring the product lineremainsfully supported.

Work Schedule : 8am-5pm (open to 7-4 or 7 : 30-4 : 30) / onsite 5 days a week, no exceptions

Responsibilities

  • PO Management : Handle the creation, updates, and daily maintenance of purchase orders within ERP systems (SAP and / or Oracle).
  • Expediting : Proactively manage andexpediteorders to ensure on-time delivery; you will oversee a portfolio of 15–20 vendors and total PO values ranging from $100k–$500k.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration : Align with specific product lines and collaborate with the sourcing team and commodity managers to resolve bottlenecks.
  • Problem Solving : Act as a self-starter to resolve delivery delays or discrepancies, ensuringaccuratehypotheses are considered during the project execution phase.
  • Data Integrity : Ensure all procurement documentation and communication with external suppliers meet Baker Hughes' rigorous standards.

Qualifications

  • Experience : Minimum 4-5years’ experience in procurement, sourcing, or related supply chainrole. Solid background in procurement and buying is essential. While sourcing experience is a plus, you mustdemonstratemastery of the "buy" process.
  • Technical Skills : Must be proficient in ERP systems (SAP and / or Oracle).
  • Education : Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university is preferred, but equivalent professional experience will be strongly considered.
  • Industry Knowledge : Previousexperience with industrial commodities (valves, castings, machined parts) is highly preferred.
  • Soft Skills : Strong independent work ethic, efficiency, and the ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
