We have an exciting opportunity for a local/Nonlocal Rigger position in Newport News, VA with one of our Clients in the Ship Repair Industry. Qualifications: Familiarity with Stage building Knowledge Shipes and valves, to pumps, motors and electronic equipment, to the largest machinery and structural components – riggers can lift, manipulate, and set them into place Able to calculate the weight and center of gravity of the item being handled, determine the capacity of the lift points, and calculate the angle imposed on the handling gear to select the most appropriate gear for the task at hand Erect, maintain, and dismantle various types of scaffolding throughout the shipyard. Must be able to calculate weight and center of gravity Determine capacity of the lift points Calculate angle imposed on the handling gear Hours: Must be open to all 3 shifts 1st shift-7am-3:30pm 2nd 3:30pm-12am 3rd shift 11pm-7am Pay: $22-$27.31 Hr $135 Per diem if you qualify #ISS
