Job Title: Senior Environmental EngineerJob DescriptionWe are seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer to cultivate a culture that aligns with EHS goals and objectives, focusing on continuous improvements. This role will be integral in driving environmental stewardship and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory laws and company policies.
Responsibilities
- Manage, direct, coach, lead, and motivate plant personnel to achieve EHS goals and objectives in a timely and safe manner.
- Assist in the development and implementation of Environmental, Health, and Safety programs to achieve and maintain compliance with regulatory laws.
- Oversee all environmental issues, regulatory reports, and permits related to Air, Wastewater, Storm Water, Chemical, and Waste Disposal/Recycling.
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of necessary records to demonstrate compliance with applicable federal, state, and company programs such as sustainability.
- Drive environmental stewardship through the development of management systems to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Maintain all necessary records and documents.
- Develop and deliver EHS compliance training.
- Manage and perform hands-on monitoring and measurement.
- Lead cross-functional teams to implement environmental improvement projects in the aerospace industry.
- Evaluate processes to optimize, minimize, or eliminate waste and reduce water usage.
- Oversee the contractor management of the wastewater treatment and discharge program.
Essential Skills- Proficiency in compliance and safety regulations.
- Advanced skills in Excel, including the use of pivot tables.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong math skills.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret EHS regulations and standards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- At least 1 year of manufacturing environmental engineering experience is highly preferred.
- Background in Environmental Science, Environmental Safety, or Remediation.
- Experience in an EHS role within a manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
Work EnvironmentThis role requires on-site work full-time from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. The position involves a balance of time spent on the floor and behind a desk. The company is experiencing major growth, providing opportunities to move between departments.

This is a Permanent position based out of Hampton, VA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
