Job description

Software Testing Lead

Location: Chandler

Experience: 8+

Rate: $65/hr

Day 1 onsite

Position ID: 114068-16-1

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the software testing efforts, including planning, execution, and reporting of testing activities.
  • Develop and implement test strategies and test plans that align with project requirements and timelines.
  • Utilize Playwright to create, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for web applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate tools, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Conduct regular reviews of test cases and test results to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Mentor and guide junior testers in best practices for software testing and automation.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in software testing and automation tools.

Mandatory Skills:

  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Playwright for automated testing.
  • Proficiency in writing and executing test cases, both manual and automated.
  • Experience with test management tools and defect tracking systems.
  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with other testing frameworks and tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or TestNG.
  • Experience in performance testing and security testing.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) are a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead testing efforts and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
