For this U.S. based position, the expected base salary is $186,160.00 - $190,000 per year. Additional short-term incentive compensation is a typical part of our compensation structure and would be in addition to the above-stated range. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Job Description: Oversee the design and implementation of significant software features enabling consumers to advance their home electrification. Leverage broad software engineering knowledge to solve complex problems and guide less experienced engineers, helping to scale Schneider Electric's platform and accelerate clean energy adoption. Serve as a technical resource for team while contributing to overall technical direction of platform. Lead the design, development, and implementation of intricate software products and systems. Fulfill technical missions, with autonomy to propose or develop complex solutions in a technical domain. Perform coding, debugging, testing and troubleshooting throughout the application development or continuous deployment process. Provide technical leadership on projects while mentoring junior software engineers. Make architectural decisions that balance business needs, technical constraints, and user experience. Resolve complex engineering challenges with elegant and scalable solutions. Contribute to strategic technical discussions and roadmap planning. Help establish and enforce engineering best practices and standards. Collaborate with product and business teams to define requirements and solutions. Contribute to moderately complex aspects of a project. Enhance system architecture and improve code quality. Eligible for remote work 2 days/wk. Requirements: Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or related field and five (5) years of progressive experience in software application development, or related occupation OR Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or related field and Three (3) years of experience in software application development, or related occupation. Work experience to include: Developing software applications using Python 3.10 or later; Building automated tests for backend systems (e.g., unit and integration tests) and frontend applications (e.g., unit and end-to-end tests); Creating frontend applications using TypeScript with a reactive JavaScript framework; Architecting and deploying highly scalable applications on AWS services; Designing and optimizing both relational and NoSQL databases; Using JIRA or Confluence for project tracking and documentation; and Creating dashboards for performance monitoring and alerting.
