Additionally, you will have the opportunity to influence business leaders and shape the business vision by aligning technology strategies with business goals, ensuring that our digital and AI-first approach drives impactful outcomes across the Technology organization.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Establish and drive clear, effective, and innovative solution designs aligning to The Hartford’s reference architectures, blueprints, and business and IT strategies across our Digital properties, with a focus on AI and strategic thinking.
  • Develop architectural standards and designs for our customer-facing digital properties, incorporating a visionary approach and end-to-end solutioning with a big picture mindset.
  • Align solutions to The Hartford’s reference architectures, blueprints, and business and IT strategies, ensuring they are plug-and-play and leverage APIs, platforms, and products.
  • Ensure alignment with security standards, authentication, and authorization models, while integrating vendor products and services.
  • Provide design supporting the migration of platforms and applications to the cloud, taking advantage of modernization and rationalization opportunities to reduce costs and promote a frugal architecture mindset.
  • Design solutions leveraging SaaS and Native Cloud architectures and services, focusing on rationalizing and modernizing assets.
  • Develop designs and integrations spanning both Mobile and Responsive Web, ensuring they are consumable across all roles.
  • Participate with agile teams to ensure architecture standards are being maintained, promoting a platform and products approach.
  • Frequently interact with peers and senior leaders as part of a cross-functional team, influencing business leaders and shaping business vision.
  • Work within a matrixed environment, expanding knowledge of The Hartford’s lines of business and digital portfolio.
  • Emphasize cost-conscious architecture and frugal architecture principles, ensuring that solutions are designed to be cost-effective and efficient.
  • Foster a mindset of building platforms and products that prioritize speed to market and lower maintenance costs.

This role will have a Hybrid work schedule, with the expectation of working in an office (Columbus, OH, Hartford, CT or Charlotte, NC) 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday).
