Responsibilities
:Perform structural welding in support of ship repair and fabrication projects. Perform SMAW and/or FCAW welding in multiple positions. Read and follow welding procedures, work instructions, and applicable drawings. Complete welds to required quality and production standards. Perform work safely in accordance with shipyard and jobsite requirements. Work in various shipboard and shipyard environments as required. Qualifications: Must have previous shipyard or marine welding experience Must be proficient in SMAW and FCAW welding. Must be able to pass the applicable weld test based on the position and project requirements. First Class candidates should be capable of passing structural butt weld tests in multiple positions. Must be able to obtain access to Hampton Roads-area shipyards and naval facilities Pay: $30.00–$32.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Schedule: Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM Night Shift: Monday–Thursday: 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM Friday & Saturday: 3:30 PM – 11:00 PM #ISS
