Position Description:
Under the direction of the Department Director, the Radiologic Technologist provide diagnostic general radiography services as needed, with a high degree of quality. Performs examinations in a proficient, courteous, and professional manner so as to favorably promote the services of this department and the philosophy of this hospital in this community. In addition, assumes clerical duties as needed in an effort to ensure the efficiency of the department.
Qualifications Job Duties/Responsibilities Requirements:
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, patients, and the general public.
- Ability to performance basic math.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical/clinical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Two to three years of x-ray training under supervision of a Radiologist preferred with experience in geriatric, adolescent, adult, and pediatrics.
- Must be at least years of age. General education level. Must have state certification.
- Currently registered CRT or CRT eligible. Registered ARRT or ARRT eligible. BLS Certification.
- CPI is required within days of hire.
