Our client, the chemical manufacturing industry, is seeking a Fired Equipment Engineer to join their team. As a Fired Equipment Engineer, you will be part of the engineering support team supporting process operations and maintenance. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Fired Equipment Engineer
Location: Beaumont, TX
Duration:18 months (potential to extend)
What's the Job?
- Support operations by troubleshooting, optimizing, monitoring, and ensuring reliability of fired equipment
- Plan and execute turnaround and downtime activities, including worklist development and inspection recommendations
- Assist with capital projects, provide design consulting, technical quality assurance, and startup support
- Respond to emergencies such as fire heater trips and unplanned outages to ensure safety and operational continuity
- Analyze energy efficiency opportunities and implement improvements to optimize plant performance
What's Needed?
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
- 4-5 years of relevant experience in fired equipment engineering
- Hands-on experience with process fired heaters, boilers, flares, and related systems
- Deep knowledge of Burner Management Systems (BMS) and controls
- Ability to collaborate across disciplines and communicate effectively with diverse teams
