Job Summary:
The Technical Writer will assist in developing and standardizing technical documentation, ensuring consistency and clarity across various engineering documents. This role involves editing, formatting, and converting existing documents into a standard format, as well as creating new documents that adhere to established guidelines. Location:White Plains, New York, United States Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing a standard format for technical documents.
- Edit and convert existing documents to the standard format.
- Assist in developing new documents consistent with the standard format.
- Work with various Standing Committee documents, contractor-developed documents, and engineering specifications. Required Skills & Certifications:
- Technical understanding of engineering documents.
- Basic understanding of electrical generation and transmission systems.
- Knowledge and experience in composing technical documents.
- Knowledge and experience with formatting and structuring technical documents.
- Advanced skills in MS Word, including troubleshooting and advanced formatting.
- College degree or advanced degree in a technical field.
- Experience in technical writing.
- Advanced skills and functional knowledge of Microsoft Office. Preferred Skills & Certifications:
