Job description

Project Coordinator

LeCom Utility Contractors has established itself as one of the premier contractors in the Telecommunications and Power industries. With our experienced staff and fleet of vehicles, we are able to meet telephone and power construction needs from concept through to reality.

We are looking for a Project Coordinator within our Fiber Department. The Project Coordinator serves as the liaison between field employees and office staff.

To be successful in this role, you should be a highly detail-oriented individual with good communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Additionally, candidates should have the ability to organize and prioritize workloads and work independently when given instruction. This position provides administrative, logistical, and communication support between field crews, subcontractors, vendors, and internal departments. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and project coordination.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day administrative and project support.
  • Coordinate communications between project managers, field crews, subcontractors, and office personnel.
  • Review weekly employee time sheets for accuracy and submit to payroll.
  • Daily/Weekly/Monthly crew data input utilizing Customer Portals, as required.
  • Maintain and communicate crew member records/rosters as required by Customers.
  • Set up and coordinate new Jobs and/or Customers as assigned.
  • Collect and analyze data in Excel format for all assigned projects.
  • Complete and/or review daily and weekly crew revenue reporting.
  • Provide administrative support to division staff.
  • Assist Vice President and Manager(s) with special projects.
  • Interact with managers and others within and between departments, both written and verbal.

Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting construction, telecom, or fiber optic projects is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and project tracking tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-starter with a high level of attention to detail and follow-through.
  • High School Diploma and/or equivalent
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
  • 2+ years of solid administrative or project coordination experience preferred.
  • Previous experience in the construction and/or utilities industry is a definite plus.

Work Environment:

  • Office-based with occasional site visits or field coordination.
  • Must be comfortable working with teams across different locations and environments.
