Shape the connections that power the world
Step onto the floor at 7:00 AM and join a global leader in cable technology. At Prysmian Group—now strengthened by Encore Wire’s advanced McKinney, Texas single-campus operation—you’ll help craft the components that keep energy and data flowing across North America and beyond. With 9,000 teammates in North America and 35,000 worldwide, your craftsmanship fuels resilient infrastructure and next‑gen communications.
What a day looks like
From your first pass to final inspection, you’ll translate blueprints into reality—aligning, fitting, and welding parts into subassemblies and complete units. You’ll use jigs, hand tools, and multiple welding processes to meet exact tolerances, marking cut and bend lines to allow for weld shrinkage, material thickness, and other specifications. Throughout, you’ll keep precise measurements, provide build documentation, and uphold OSHA-aligned safety standards.
