Job Description
As an Engineering Technician, you will frequently collaborate with Engineers across Qualcomm to optimize the utilization of our equipment and components. You will play a key role in the preliminary stages of our technical processes. Engineering Technicians will also be responsible for upkeeping and implementing operations and safety standards in the workplace to ensure all components of our equipment is properly handled.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Associate's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• CET certificate or + years of electronics coursework.
• + years of experience with general computer skills and Microsoft applications.
• + years of experience in Semiconductor or related industry.
• Military experience or training in electronics field (Rank E+ year).
• + years of experience working in a large matrixed organization.
• + years in a leadership role with or without direct reports.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Leads and documents activities related to benches, testers, and other equipment. Transports, installs, upgrades, and configures complex equipment and components.
• Performs complex measurements, documents test results, KPIs and other outcomes, and maintains malfunction records.
• Collaborates with vendors and cross-functionally with internal teams to troubleshoot and perform complex repair, rework, removal, and modifications to equipment work as necessary.
• Sets up test equipment using hand tools or automatic test methods. Performs and helps design complex test of circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies.
• Helps develop and execute manual and automated test plans, test cases, and test procedures; reproduces and debugs complex issues and reviews and approves documentation of process or SOP changes.
• Monitors and maintains the purchasing, shipping/transporting, receiving, and usage of inventory and equipment for test labs, field engineering, and business unit projects.
• Identifies opportunities for process improvement and helps manage the development and execution of new processes; reviews the work products of other Engineering Technicians.
Level of Responsibility:
• Works independently with minimal supervision.
• Provides supervision/guidance to other team members.
• Decision-making affects direct area of work and/or work group.
