Our client, a leading financial services company is hiring an Application / Production Support on a long-term contract basis.
Work Location:
Tampa, FL
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of application production support with strong skills in Unix and SQL
- Strong SQL skills
- Application support experience
- Experience installing, configuring, or supporting business applications
- Experience with some programming languages and willingness/ability to learn.
- Strong Technical skills must include (but not limited): Unix, SQL, J2EE Web and App servers like Tomcat, WebSphere, WebLogic, IHS, Connect Direct, shell scripting
- Effective written and verbal communications including ability to explain technical issues in simple terms that non-IT staff can understand
- Demonstrated analytical skills
- Issue tracking and reporting using tools
- Knowledge/ experience of problem Management Tools
- Good all-round technical skills
- Effectively share information with other support team members and with other technology teams
