Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Anesthesiologist, you will join a collegial, well-established anesthesia team of five anesthesiologists and eleven CRNAs serving CHI Health St. Francis and Grand Island Ambulatory Surgery Center. This newly created position supports the continued growth of our surgical services and offers an excellent opportunity for experienced physicians, new graduates, and visa candidates alike. With an academic affiliation through Creighton University School of Medicine, you'll also have opportunities to participate in teaching and professional development if desired.

Every day you will provide high-quality anesthetic care across a diverse range of surgical specialties, including general surgery, orthopedics, obstetrics and gynecology, urology, ENT, and neuroscience. You'll practice in state-of-the-art operating rooms that opened in 2021 and feature advanced technology, including the Da Vinci Xi robotic surgical system. Working alongside a collaborative team of surgeons, hospitalists, intensivists, and other subspecialists, you'll deliver exceptional perioperative care while helping meet the growing surgical needs of the community.

To be successful in this role, you will be a Board Certified or Board Eligible Anesthesiologist who is committed to clinical excellence, teamwork, and patient-centered care. CHI Health St. Francis is a 150-bed, Level III Trauma Center and regional referral hub serving Central Nebraska. Our hospital offers a 16-bed open ICU with after-hours eICU support, a well-established hospitalist and intensivist program, and a wide range of engaged subspecialistscreating an excellent environment for collaborative, high-quality perioperative care.
