Exercise Specialist - Sports Performance

Work Schedule : Shifts scheduled Monday through Friday 3:30 PM - 5:30 PM.

We are seeking an Exercise Specialist - Sports Performance to: * Design developmentally appropriate training programs and modify programs to fit the needs of the athlete. * Implement a long-term athlete development plan using a sound youth athlete development philosophy. * Effectively communicate with athletes, parents, coaches, and administrators. * Assess athlete function related to movement skills, developmental and performance measures. * Assist with development, marketing, and promotion of sports performance programs. * Actively participate in staff education sessions. Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science or related field Required * Master's Degree in Exercise Physiology, Biomechanics, Strength and Conditioning or related field Preferred Work Experience * 1 year experience in sports performance training Required * 3 years experience working with athletes from a variety of backgrounds in training and conditioning Preferred Licenses & Certifications * Obtain a national certification by at least one of the following organizations • CSCS - National Strength and Conditioning Association • Sports Performance Coach - USA Weightlifting • Club Coach - USA Weightlifting • PES - National Academy of Sports Medicine • CSCC - National Strength and Conditioning Association within 180 Days Required * BLS Certification Required * Certification by the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification Preferred * Movement-based assessment and evaluation certification Preferred * Valid driver's license for use in Wisconsin and current auto insurance.
