Radiologic Special Procedures Technologist - Cardiac Catheterization Lab Radiologic Special Procedures Technologist - Cardiac Catheterization Lab Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Radiologic Special Procedures Technologist to join our dynamic Cardiac Catheterization Lab team in Honolulu, Hawai‘i. This role is integral to providing advanced imaging support for a diverse patient population undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. The successful candidate will operate specialized radiologic equipment, assist physicians, and ensure exceptional patient care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. Key Responsibilities Operate and maintain specialized radiologic equipment, including fluoroscopy and angiography systems, during cardiac catheterization procedures. Assist physicians with diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, ensuring optimal imaging quality and patient positioning. Prepare and position patients for procedures, ensuring comfort and safety. Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes during procedures. Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to strict infection control protocols. Document all procedures accurately and completely in patient records. Collaborate effectively with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Participate in on-call rotations as required. Required Qualifications Current ARRT-R certification. RCIS certification (CCI) OR a minimum of 1 year of recent experience in a Cardiac Catheterization Lab or Special Procedures setting. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers (HCP). Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (must obtain within 90 days of hire if not current). Preferred Qualifications A.R.R.T. advanced certification (e.g., Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiography (CV) or Vascular-Interventional Radiography (VI)). Prior experience specifically as a Radiologic Special Procedures Technologist in a cardiac catheterization lab. Skills & Competencies Proficiency in operating fluoroscopy and angiography equipment. Strong understanding of sterile technique and infection control. Ability to monitor patient vital signs and recognize changes in patient condition. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration. Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities in a high-pressure environment. Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
