Construction Manager
Barton Malow Company is seeking a Construction Manager to join our utility scale renewable energy projects throughout the Great Lakes region, initially in Wisconsin. The Construction Manager is responsible for oversight of planning, coordination, and execution of construction activities. The Construction Manager will lead project engineers and superintendents to execute construction projects within budget and schedule per the contract documents.
Key job responsibilities include overseeing the construction planning effort and development of Installation Work Packages & Inspection Test Plans, directing and overseeing the development of subcontractor's scope of work, sequencing, coordination, scheduling, installation, and logistics related to projects, monitoring self-perform and subcontractor performance including productivity tracking and/or earned value, ensuring the relevant scopes of work are executed with strict adherence to the contract documents, ensuring the relevant scopes of work are started and completed with strict adherence to the construction schedule, resolving construction conflicts, delays, and in-field issues, and supporting project manager & project controller forecast self-perform productivity.
Required knowledge, education, experience, skills, and abilities include solar or wind market experience preferred, commercial construction experience required, 7 years of relevant professional experience, experience leading a team of construction staff, subcontractors, engineers/designers, the ability to work as a team player, independently and learn quickly in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment, and OSHA 30 Hour preferred.
