This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage in complex litigation matters, specifically in the field of medical malpractice. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive litigation support, conducting legal research, preparing legal documents, and assisting in trial preparation. This role requires an individual with excellent attention to detail, superior communication skills, and a thorough understanding of the discovery process and electronic filing systems. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of the discovery process, electronic filing systems, and the ability to manage a large volume of documents. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, superior communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. The chosen candidate will be responsible for discovery, document management, drafting pleadings and motions, trial preparation, and case investigation. Familiarity with the Texas rules of civil procedure is a must. Responsibilities: Manage all aspects of the discovery process, including document review, organization, and production. Maintain and update electronic filing systems for easy access and retrieval. Draft legal documents, pleadings, and motions with precision and attention to detail. Maintain strong client relations, ensuring all communications are timely and accurate. Conduct thorough case investigations, gathering all necessary information and evidence. Organize, interpret, and request medical records as required. Maintain case files, ensuring all information is up-to-date and easily accessible. Investigate questions and conduct research to support case development. Summarize medical records to assist in case understanding and development. Assist in trial preparation, including witness preparation, exhibit preparation, and coordination of logistics. Qualifications: A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Litigation Paralegal, specifically in the field of medical malpractice litigation. Bachelor's degree in a related field is required. A paralegal certificate is a plus. Proven experience with the discovery process and electronic filing systems. Exceptional attention to detail and superior communication skills. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proven experience in drafting legal documents, maintaining case files, and conducting case investigations. Ability to organize, interpret, and request medical records.
