Mechanical Assembler

We are looking for reliable and detail-oriented Mechanical Assemblers to join our team in Akron, Ohio. This is a great opportunity for candidates with production or assembly experience seeking a steady role in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Join a company that specializes in custom-engineered production machines for the tire and rubber industries. In this position, you will play a key role in assembling components into sub-assemblies and final products, preparing parts for painting, and supporting various assembly tasks in a fast-paced setting. Hours
Monday to Friday, 6:00 am – 4:30 pm

Pay
$16.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete sub-assembly and final assembly of products or components
  • Disassemble test-fit products and prepare for painting
  • Use hand and power tools to assemble components or products
  • Clean metal frame assemblies with lacquer thinner for painting preparation
  • Clean weldments using grinders and paint thinner for painting prep
  • Press bearings, hang housings, push hoses on air cylinders, glue magnets to magpots
  • Assist other departments and functions as needed

Minimum Requirements:
  • Production or assembly experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
  • Experience using hand and power tools
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Previous experience working in similar manufacturing roles
  • Experience with pneumatic or hydraulic components

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior manufacturing or assembly experience preferred

Other Requirements:
  • This position is on-site only
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed
