Job description

Accounting Associate

Position Summary:

  • Financial Reporting Provide timely and accurate financial information to management.
  • Regulatory Compliance Adheres to financial regulations, accounting standards, and reporting requirements to maintain compliance with federal and state laws.
  • Budgeting Assist in the development of the Bank and Bank Holding Company's budget.
  • Accounts Payable Coordinate processing and payment of invoices, management of the vendor file and related tax reporting.

  • Effective Communication & Collaboration Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills when engaging with customers and employees, ensuring clarity, understanding, and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Problem-Solving & Customer-Centric Solutions Actively involved in developing solutions that meet the evolving needs of both customers and employees, fostering innovation and efficiency.
  • Adaptability & Self-Motivation Highly flexible in managing changing workloads, self-motivated, and capable of maintaining productivity in dynamic environments.
  • Teamwork A strong team player who treats all staff, customers, shareholders and prospects with respect.
  • Technology Proficiency Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with mastery in Excel and other applicable software to support efficient business operations and decision-making.
  • Financial Expertise & Control Proficiency in financial analysis, with a strong working knowledge of accounting principles, financial administration, and the understanding of effective financial controls.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or accounting (mandatory)

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years accounting experience (desired)

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to sit for periods greater than 45 minutes at a time.
  • Must be able to stand for periods greater than 30 minutes at a time.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to use computer monitors for periods greater than 45 minutes at a time.
  • Must be able to perform basic typing functions.
