  • Coordinate pre-employment requirements, new-hire paperwork, orientation, onboarding, and employment eligibility verification.
  • Ensure onboarding materials, system access, and required training are completed accurately and on schedule.

Payroll, Benefits & Leave Administration

  • Support payroll and timekeeping processes by reviewing timecards, deductions, leave balances, garnishments, and employee changes for accuracy.
  • Coordinate benefits enrollment, qualifying life events, employee questions, and vendor communications.
  • Administer or support leave programs, including FMLA, workers' compensation, disability, and other applicable leave requirements.
  • Assist with benefits reconciliation, payroll audits, and resolution of employee pay or benefit discrepancies.

Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Respond to employee concerns professionally and escalate complex employee relations matters as appropriate.
  • Support workplace investigations, corrective action documentation, performance management, and policy interpretation.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and reporting requirements.
  • Assist with EEO-1, COBRA, unemployment claims, workers' compensation, background checks, and other required HR reporting or documentation.
  • Protect sensitive employee information and maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and professional judgment.

HRIS, Reporting & Process Improvement

  • Maintain employee data and workflows within the organization's HRIS, payroll, recruiting, benefits, and timekeeping systems.
  • Prepare HR reports, track key metrics, review data for accuracy, and support audits and compliance reviews.
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, employee self-service, documentation, and system utilization.
  • Support HR technology implementations, upgrades, testing, data cleanup, and user training as needed.

Training & Organizational Support

  • Coordinate or facilitate employee and supervisor training on HR policies, compliance, systems, and workplace practices.
  • Support performance review cycles, compensation projects, employee surveys, and organizational development initiatives.
  • Collaborate with leadership and other departments to support workforce needs and organizational priorities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
  • Three (3) or more years of progressive experience in human resources, payroll, recruiting, benefits administration, or a related HR function.
  • Hands-on experience using at least one major HRIS, payroll, or human capital management platform, with a strong preference for UKG, ADP, Paycom, Paylocity, or Workday.
  • Working knowledge of employment laws and HR practices, including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, COBRA, and wage-and-hour requirements.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage confidential information with discretion and sound judgment.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting payroll, benefits, recruiting, employee relations, compliance, and HRIS administration in a generalist capacity.
  • Experience with HR data reporting, system implementations, process improvement, or workflow automation.
