Surgical Services Sterile Processing Tech

Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts from 18:45 to 07:15.

Contract length: 13 weeks, guaranteed hours: 3 shifts per week.

Requirements

• 2 years of experience required.
• BLS certification.
• CBSPD or IAHCSMM/HSPA certification.
• Knowledge of chemical agents for decontamination, disinfectants, sterilization wrapping procedures, and equipment such as washers/sterilizers.
• Experience in assembly of sets/trays for various specialties including dental, ENT, general, laparoscopic, neurology, orthopedics, plastics, robotics, and urology.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for up to 5 hours.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper cleaning and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment.
• Assemble and prepare surgical trays according to established protocols.
• Maintain compliance with safety and quality standards within the sterile processing department.
• Assist with inventory control and ensure adequate supply levels for surgical trays and instruments.
• Participate in educational programs to expand knowledge of sterile processing standards and best practices.

Compliance / Notes

No on-call requirements. Local candidates must be at least 75 miles from the facility. Requests for time off are limited to no more than 7 days. Free parking is available.
