This program prioritizes improving access to health care for individuals living with HIV who qualify for SDAP program benefits. The statewide Health Access team works directly with clients to facilitate medical insurance enrollments, navigate challenges in the US Health Care System, and provide financial assistance for qualifying medical expenses.

This position maintains an active caseload of 100+ clients over the age of 50 and provides one-on-one assistance with Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance enrollment, and Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) navigation. Due to the nature of health insurance navigation, this position has notable shifts in demand based on season, with General Open Enrollment Periods at the end of each year requiring the highest volume of work.
