We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join a high performing construction team focused on complex special projects throughout Northern California.
This is an opportunity for a construction professional who enjoys being involved from preconstruction through closeout and wants significant ownership over project strategy, financial performance, client relationships, and team development.
You will work closely with clients, design teams, subcontractors, Superintendents, Project Executives, and internal leadership to deliver projects safely, efficiently, and successfully.
What You'll Do
Lead projects from preconstruction and estimating through procurement, construction, and closeout
Develop project strategies, budgets, schedules, procurement plans, and risk mitigation plans
Lead the subcontractor bidding, selection, buyout, and contract process
Manage project financials including cost control, forecasting, billing, change orders, and financial reporting
Lead client and OAC meetings while building strong, long term relationships with owners and design teams
Partner closely with Superintendents and field leadership to resolve challenges and keep projects on schedule
Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, document control, inspections, permits, and project closeout
Identify project risks early and develop strategies to mitigate them
Participate in business development efforts including RFQs, RFPs, client presentations, and relationship development
Mentor and develop Project Engineers, Project Coordinators, and other project team members
Promote a strong culture of safety, collaboration, accountability, and professionalism
What We're Looking For
6+ years of progressive construction project management experience, preferably within special projects
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
Strong understanding of commercial construction and all major building trades, including MEP
Experience managing projects from preconstruction through completion
Strong estimating, scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control skills
Experience developing and maintaining detailed project schedules
Comfortable working directly with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal leadership
Strong understanding of the building permit and inspection process
Proficiency with MS Office, MS Project or Primavera P6, PowerPoint, and construction management software
OSHA 10 certification
Strong communication, organization, leadership, and problem solving skills
